I’m starting to forget how I used to work.
Last night I was working on proposals. The workflow: ask Claude to pull up the transcripts, the decks, the email threads. Look across all of it. Put together something complete and thoughtful that actually addresses the pain points of the prospect. Edit it, put some human nuance and judgment on it.
Then I tried to remember how I used to do this.
Did I really take good enough notes on my meetings to do a good job on this? (Narrator: NO, HE DID NOT).
Did I go back through each personalized deck I sent?
Did I even send personalized decks, and if so, how long did that used to take me?
Did I really go back through months of emails?
How much did I used to miss, how half a$$ did my work used to be? (Narrator: QUITE)
I don’t know if anyone else is starting to feel this way.
But the old way of working is starting to drift away from me.
It almost feels a little like the pandemic. I know it was real. But did we really all stop going out? Stop going into the office? How long ago was that?
Maybe this is how we all get lazy.
Just some Friday musings.
